What will happen if the no-confidence resolution against the Prime Minister is successful in the National Assembly?

It was like a bombshell had hit the government, and its carefully cultivated image of a party fighting against corruption. In the past 42 months of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rule, there has hardly been anything as devastating as this to damage the credibility of this government.

Accidents do happen despite careful planning, even in organized societies boasting developed infrastructure and trained staff-- but this was a tragedy that, almost everyone agreed, could have been easily avoided.  

Nothing underscores the superficiality of Pakistani democracy better than the continuing absence of elected local governments across the country. In our 74 years of existence, elected local governments have functioned only for about 39 years.
