Pakistan announces 12-member squad for first Test against Bangladesh

  • Babar Azam will be the captain of the team while Mohammad Rizwan will act as his deputy
  • Pakistan won three consecutive matches against Bangladesh during the Twenty20 series

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday announced a 12-member squad for the first Test against Bangladesh which is going to begin on November 26 at the Zahoor Ahmed Cricket Stadium, Chittagong, said the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Pakistan won three consecutive matches against Bangladesh during the Twenty20 series that led to rare celebrations in which hundreds of fans lined up along the road to cheer the Pakistani side.

Babar Azam will be the captain of the Pakistani team while Mohammad Rizwan will act as his duty, said the PCB.

 

 

Uncapped Abdullah Shafique has also found a place in the squad.

The second Test will commence from December 4 at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
