Fawri money transfer services gets Best in Remittance award

Bank AlJazira’s (BAJ) Fawri money transfer services has won the Best in Remittance-Middle East award from Islamic Business & Finance Awards 2015.
The prize was awarded by CPI Financial Group global affairs for exceptional performance and growth of the international Islamic business and finance community during its 10th anniversary. The event was sponsored by the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre and partnered by the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Sami Al-Rajhi, SVP, head of Banking Service Group (Fawri), received the award on behalf of BAJ at the event held in Dubai on Dec. 10.
Nabil bin Dawood Al-Hoshan, CEO and MD, BAJ said: “We are proud of these successes as AlJazira Bank becomes one of the most active financial institutions in the field of money transfer services and this gives us incentive to achieve more successes in the coming years.”
Fawri money transfer centers have grown over the last two years; BAJ opened 30 remittance centers since the beginning of the launch of the first Fawri center in December 2013. “Indeed, this success was achieved by expanding Fawri centers across the Kingdom in record time,” he added.
Fawri centers are stated to be committed to the rules and regulations promulgated by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) and the policies of Bank AlJazira Foundation.
Besides, the partnership with Money Gram has also added value to financial operations through quality, security and speed in addition to other specialized services connected with international money transfer services, and the buying and selling of foreign currency exchange in a highly competitive environment.
