MADINAH: Rural farms across the Madinah region are attracting growing numbers of visitors during the evening hours, emerging as preferred tourism and recreation destinations that offer natural surroundings, diverse amenities and a cooler atmosphere than many open spaces.
The farms benefit from their agricultural environment, where regular irrigation of crops and trees helps to lower temperatures and increase humidity levels, creating a more comfortable setting for visitors.
Many farms have also equipped their outdoor seating areas with fans and misting systems to enhance the visitor experience during the summer season.
The sites have become a popular destination for families and young people, offering green open spaces, children’s play areas, cafes, restaurants and kiosks serving local food and beverages.
Many also host cultural and recreational events and seasonal activities for visitors of all ages.
The growing demand for rural farms reflects the increasing appeal of rural tourism in the region, supporting agricultural and tourism investment while creating economic opportunities for farmers, families working in the cottage industry and entrepreneurs.
