Saudi FM speaks to Pakistani, Kuwaiti, Latvian counterparts

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a series of phone calls with his international counterparts on Sunday to discuss the escalating tensions in the region and matters of diplomacy.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Prince Faisal to review the latest regional developments. The two sides stressed the urgent need for de-escalation and agreed to remain in close contact as the situation evolves, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

The prince received a call from Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze, during which they discussed ongoing developments and issues of mutual concern, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

He also spoke to Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah about regional coordination and the latest tensions, it said.
