TAIF: The cultural cafe, a literary partner of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, put on a cultural reading event in Tabuk on Saturday evening in cooperation with the Tabuk Region Municipality to coincide with Earth Hour.
The event offered a candlelight reading experience in a calm atmosphere, combining meditation with literary texts, reflecting the value of reading away from artificial lighting.
This concept holds that reading by natural light deepens the reader’s connection to the book and enriches reading with an emotional dimension.
The event concluded by highlighting the importance of rationalizing energy consumption and protecting the environment.
The activity is part of efforts to advance Tabuk’s cultural movement and to support initiatives aligned with global events, while promoting environmental awareness through culture.
