Riyadh Region Municipality invites applications for new projects

RIYADH: The Riyadh Region Municipality has invited companies with “pre-qualification” expertise in the field of garden and park implementation to submit applications for a number of new projects, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

Interested companies should submit documents to begin the qualification via the KFO platform using the link: https://rmpmis.com/kfo/register_competitions_company/9.

“These development projects come as an extension of the municipality’s belief in its role in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and raising the quality of life; increasing green spaces; enhancing the urban and ecological environment in the city; rehabilitating gardens, parks, and public facilities; and building an environment that keeps pace with the aspirations of the population,” the SPA said.

The municipality aims to meet social and entertainment needs and contribute to enhancing the concept of the smart city.

It is working to implement its strategic plan and build a quality environment in the city; to activate its role in urban and environmental development; and create public facilities that meet the needs of the population and the growth of the city, the SPA’s statement added.

Saudi Arabia acknowledges ‘effective cooperation’ after Lebanese authorities seize narco lab

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia highlighted the productive cooperation between the Kingdom and Lebanon after the seizure of a drugs facility. 

The Saudi interior ministry said the lab was being used to manufacture narcotic substances and  precursor materials, in addition to firearms. 

The ministry statement, posted on social media early on Thursday, said the Kingdom acknowledges the effective cooperation with the Lebanese authorities in monitoring and controlling narcotic substances. 

The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to continuing efforts to combat criminal activities that threaten its security and youth through drugs, by confronting, thwarting, and apprehending those involved, the statement added.
