Saudi cultural fund explores film industry ties in Berlin

RIYADH: The Saudi Cultural Development Fund recently took part in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.

At the event, the fund joined the Saudi pavilion alongside various government agencies to help attract top firms to the Kingdom.

The fund also held meetings with filmmakers and investors to discuss cooperation in the film industry.

Officials showcased financing and investment opportunities the fund offers to both local and foreign enterprises.

Officials from the fund also took part in a dialogue session titled “Discover the Richness of Cinema in the Kingdom.”

During the session, Program Development Department Director Faisal Al-Aseeri highlighted the fund’s efforts to provide financing solutions that cater to the sector’s needs.

He also discussed the fund’s role in reducing investment risks in the sector.

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed efforts to achieve regional and global security and stability during a phone call on Monday.

“The Crown Prince and the President of France discussed regional and international developments and efforts to achieve security and stability, and reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields, in addition to discussing topics of common interest,” the Saudi Press Agency reported.
