MAKKAH: The president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has launched the plan to receive Hajj pilgrims this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais said that the aim was to help pilgrims perform their rituals with safety. He said that the presidency had harnessed its human resources and expertise, in cooperation with bodies that specialized in crowd management, to set the highest precautionary, preventive, guiding and directing measures to ensure the smooth execution of this year’s plan.

JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi attended a ceremony in Jeddah on Sunday to mark Kuwait’s National Day.
Prince Saud was received by Kuwait’s Consul General Yousef Abdullah Al-Tunaib and other consulate officials, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah, and members of the diplomatic corps, were also in attendance.
