JEDDAH: The Saudi General Authority for Entertainment (GAE) has deplored the violation committed by organizers of the Saudi Comic Con event at one of the associated activities.
Saudi Comic Con is organized by Time Entertainment.
The authority said in a statement that despite the success of the event in general, in terms of content and organizing by the executing company, some activities associated with the event violated one of the terms issued by the authority.
“The violation has been monitored by the authority’s staff and was halted at the time. Sanctions will be applied against the executing company in parallel with what has been committed in violations,” the statement read.
The authority has reiterated its role as a regulator and developer of the entertainment sector in the Kingdom, and its quest to upgrade all its elements, components, and its potentials as well.
The GAE also confirmed that it takes into account the preservation of moral values and traditions, and considers it a priority in all its projects and recreational activities offered to the homeland and the citizen.
The authority also welcomed any constructive criticism or suggestions through its accounts on social media channels, which include @Roznamah_sa, because it believes that “the citizen is the primary beneficiary of these activities, and these activities should keep pace with their aspirations and ambitions to improve the entertainment sector, and reach the acceptance of the sons and daughters of our beloved country.”

Saudi leadership directs increase in aid relief for Palestinians in Gaza
- KSrelief chief underscored that Saudi humanitarian efforts are a part of the Kingdom’s historical role in supporting Palestinians
LONDON: The leadership of Saudi Arabia has directed an increase in air, sea, and land relief efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where nearly 2 million Palestinians reside.
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, supervisor-general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, underscored that Saudi humanitarian efforts are a part of the Kingdom’s historical role in supporting Palestinians.
He added that “Palestine will remain firmly established in the conscience of the Kingdom,” according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Since the war in Gaza began in late 2023, KSrelief has dispatched 77 planes and eight ships carrying over 7,699 tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials. Additionally, 912 Saudi relief trucks have arrived in the Gaza Strip with food aid and medical equipment.
KSrelief delivered 20 ambulances to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and signed agreements totaling $90 million for relief projects in Gaza, along with airdrops in partnership with the Jordanian Armed Forces to facilitate aid delivery.
Al-Rabiah expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the directive to intensify humanitarian efforts in support of the Palestinian people amid the current crisis, the SPA added.
