RIYADH: Col. Ma’la Al-Otaibi, spokesman of the Passports Directorate in the Eastern Province, said that the directorate will soon grant travel permits for those wishing to travel to Iraq. This can be done through registering for an appointment on the website of the Ministry of Interior using the “Absher” system, as reported by local media.
Al-Otaibi added that the Passports Directorate is currently working in conjunction with the National Information Center to add the service to Absher so that applicants can register for appointments to obtain travel permits to Iraq. Work on the service is expected to be completed soon, which will in turn facilitate a smooth and easy travel procedure for citizens wishing to travel to Iraq.
