Citizens urged to report any suspicious activity

The Interior Ministry has urged citizens to provide information about suspicious activities that would undermine the Kingdom’s security and stability.
“Your sense of security is essential to defeat terrorism and wipe out conspiracies of enemies,” the ministry tweeted. “You should not hesitate to inform us about suspicious activities by dialing 990.”
Saudi bloggers responded favorably to the directive that comes at a time when the KSA-led international coalition has stepped up its campaign against the Houthi militias to restore legitimacy in Yemen.
“Every citizen should consider himself/herself a security guard to protect his/her nation and its people from saboteurs and agents of enemies inside and outside the Kingdom,” said one blogger.
“The nation is a trust on the shoulders of citizens. Our nation being the land of the two holy mosques and the cradle of Islam is more valuable than others. We have to sacrifice our lives to defend our nation,” said another blogger.
Another Saudi urged compatriots on the importance of informing authorities about agents of enemies who try to undermine the country’s security. “Those who shelter criminals are equal to criminals.”
