MINA: Makkah Region Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Mishaal met with a Communications, Space and Technology Commission delegation in Mina to review technical achievements for the current Hajj season.
They discussed achievements regarding how artificial intelligence and smart digital infrastructure enabled government entities to optimize crowd management and enhance the pilgrim experience.
The telecom sector recorded exceptional metrics during peak days, with mobile Internet speeds reaching 361 Mbps. On the Arafah Day, individual daily data consumption exceeded double the global average.
Additionally, the network seamlessly handled over 21.3 million voice calls on the 8th of Dul Hijjah, demonstrating the high capacity of the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure.
