LOME: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi recently met with Togo’s Minister of Security and Civil Protection Calixte Batossie Madjoulba in Lome.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Saudi-backed coalition and Togo in combating terrorism and extremism.
Both officials also reviewed several topics of mutual interest related to strengthening security and stability.
The meeting was part of the coalition’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with member states, support regional and international security, and enhance the integration of global efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.
The coalition also launched an initiative in Lome on Tuesday to provide military equipment to Togo’s specialized counter-terrorism forces, strengthening operational capabilities and unit readiness.
