RIYADH: Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s newly launched national carrier backed by the Public Investment Fund, is set to add three new destinations — Jeddah, Madrid and Manchester — as it expands its network.
The move signals the airline’s continued efforts to establish a global footprint ahead of its planned commercial launch.
Jeddah will strengthen domestic connectivity, while Madrid and Manchester mark further expansion into key European cities, a strategic priority for the carrier as it builds long-haul capacity.
Earlier this year, Riyadh Air signaled its regional ambitions by naming Cairo as a key destination in its network, with plans to operate daily flights from Riyadh using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Unveiled in 2023, the airline is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation strategy aimed at positioning Riyadh as a major global aviation hub.
The airline plans to serve more than 100 destinations by 2030, leveraging the Kingdom’s geographic position between Asia, Europe and Africa.
