Head into the summer season with a fresh, organized home with these six tips.

Do a quick scan of your IDs and passport and that of your family member’s to ensure that nothing is expiring within the next nine months, and schedule appointments to renew anything that is.
Make sure you clean or replace air filters and fans. You don’t want to circulate dust as the weather heats up.
Replace any damaged plastic or wooden spoons and check your pots and pans for any peeling. Make sure all appliances work and fix or remove any that don’t.
Take a look at your shampoo bottles, perfume, toothpaste, lotion and sunscreen stash and toss anything that has changed color or texture or smells different.
Many organizers suggest you toss out anything you haven’t worn in a year. This time, do the opposite and commit to only wearing neglected parts of your wardrobe. Reassess in the summer.
This is a good time to take a closer look at your sandal and shoe collection and replace or fix any loose straps, worn-out soles or heels.
