MAKKAH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced guidelines to manage the departure of Umrah performers and facilitate travel procedures with ease and efficiency.
The measures are to ensure smooth movement at various ports as the Umrah season approaches its conclusion, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The ministry urged travelers to follow updates issued by airports and airlines and to verify flight status before heading to the airport.
It also stressed coordinating with airlines and Umrah companies to confirm approved departure schedules to help streamline procedures.
The ministry noted that early preparation, packing luggage in advance, and reviewing baggage requirements with airlines help ensure smooth completion of departure procedures and avoid delays.
It added that departing Umrah performers may ship Zamzam water provided the product complies with regulations. These include buying bottles from designated airport points, ensuring proper packaging, and limiting each bottle to five liters.
