RIYADH: An emergency Gulf-European ministerial meeting will be held on Thursday to discuss the repercussions of brutal Iranian attacks on Gulf states.
The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, as well as the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas, will participate in the virtual meeting.
Dangerous developments in the region and their negative impact on the entire world will also be discussed at the meeting, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi said.
Al-Budaiwi said the GCC will condemn treacherous Iranian attacks that have targeted civilians, infrastructure, and diplomatic premises in member states during the meeting.
He added that the council will urge the international community to fulfill its duties and responsibilities to stop the war immediately, thereby enhancing regional and international stability and security.
