RIYADH: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi met with members of Sierra Leone’s Security Council Committee, chaired by Minister of Internal Affairs Morie Lengor and attended by other officials.
In the capital, Freetown, they discussed recent security developments, reviewed challenges in combating terrorism and transnational crime, and explored ways to improve coordination between security and military agencies to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.
Al-Moghedi highlighted the coalition’s commitment to supporting member states through specialized programs in four key areas: ideology, media, counter-terrorism financing, and the military.
The Sierra Leonean committee expressed gratitude for the coalition’s support and stressed the importance of continued cooperation to strengthen national security and build the capacity of the country’s military and security personnel.
