BANGKOK: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attache at the Saudi Embassy in Thailand, on Thursday concluded the Sharia academic session for qualifying 50 imams, preachers and muezzins.
Key academic topics included the explanation of fundamental principles and simplified jurisprudence, aimed at enhancing participants’ efficiency in community guidance and the dissemination of moderate Islamic teachings, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing external programs to deliver Sharia knowledge based on the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, reinforcing the message of tolerance and moderation, and promoting correct religious awareness to serve Muslim communities and elevate moderate religious discourse.
