Hajj minister in Turkiye to boost pilgrim services

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah began an official two-day visit to Turkiye on Monday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The aim is to expand and enhance pilgrim services, including a review of digital-transformation advancements.

The program includes meetings with senior Turkiye officials to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and share expertise, the SPA added.

The visit aligns with the Kingdom’s ongoing transformation of the Hajj and Umrah system through the Pilgrim Experience Program, a Vision 2030 initiative designed to improve service quality.

Earlier, Al-Rabiah visited Kazakhstan, where he held meetings with local officials to boost services for pilgrims, and review the Kingdom’s efforts to develop infrastructure in Makkah and Madinah.

Saudi FM receives telephone call from French counterpart

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a telephone call from France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot on Wednesday.

During the call, the two ministers discussed Saudi-French relations and the latest regional and international developments, Saudi Press Agency reported.
