Saudi expenditure authority ranks 3rd in Kingdom for ‘Best Work Environment’

RIYADH: The Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority achieved third place across Saudi Arabia in the “Best Work Environment” accreditation for 2023, presented by the “Great Place to Work” global authority on workplace culture.

EXPRO received the accreditation for the second year in a row in recognition of its excellence in spreading the culture of work environment and improving employee experiences, according to a press release from the authority.

Reem Al-Rehaili, vice president of human capital and academy at EXPRO, said that the authority was able to provide over 500 training opportunities, including training programs, in the Kingdom and abroad, for employees in 2023.

It also contributed to qualifying 47 percent of EXPRO’s employees for professional certificates in the authority’s fields and specializations. In addition, over 40 of its employees attended specialized conferences to learn about the best international practices.

EXPRO also contributed to training more than 70 percent of its employees in leadership development programs and executive training programs.

The satisfaction rate with the training programs among EXPRO employees in the Kingdom and abroad reached 92 percent, according to the press release.

Al-Ruhaili added that EXPRO focuses on creating a work environment that motivates employees to be creative, and increases productivity and quality, reflecting positively on the authority’s performance.

The “Great Place to Work” global authority, headquartered in San Francisco, is one of the largest organizations specialized in evaluating leading work environments, and is dedicated to building motivating employee cultures, supporting leadership behaviors, improving employee retention, and increasing innovation and prosperity.

RIYADH: The Makkah-based Mirkaz Al-Balad Al-Ameen Initiative recently hosted a dialogue session focusing on the role of partnerships in strengthening trust and advancing development, as part of its programs addressing developmental and economic issues shaping the future of Makkah.

The event brought together specialists and stakeholders in investment and development, and highlighted public–private partnerships as a key driver of development and investment in major cities.

It also discussed the role of the real estate market in attracting investment and financing, suggesting that strong market activity enhances investor confidence and supports the launch of projects that improve the urban environment.
The session underscored Makkah’s status as a city of global religious and historical significance, and stressed the need for development projects that respect this, while providing high-quality services for residents and visitors and enhancing their quality of life.
The discussion presented ideas for the development of the investment environment in Makkah related to enhancing transparency and advancing strategic partnerships, enabling high-quality investments and sustainable economic development.
