PODGORICA: Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh met with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Danijela Durovic in Podgorica.
The two officials discussed aspects of cooperation and ways to enhance them based on a common vision that respects the cultural and religious pluralism of the two friendly peoples, and emphasizes the principles of moderation, rejecting hatred, violence and extremism, and combating terrorism in all its forms.
Al-Asheikh also visited the headquarters of the Islamic Sheikhdom of Montenegro. He was received by Grand Mufti Rifaat Vizic and several senior officials.
The minister was briefed on the history of the sheikhdom and its most prominent works to serve the Muslims in the country.
Al-Asheikh also visited some historical mosques in Podgorica.
