RIYADH, 15 March — The OFWBR “Paistaran” Monday Regulated Family Bowling League, which is in its 5th week, novice Benjie Macatuno, Francis Gloria and the fancied Bukabin Eagles bowling team shared awards by clinching the bowler of the weeks and the team of the week, respectively.

Little-known Macatuno of the Unicap team and Francis Gloria of KAMC shared the bowler of the week awards by posting a separate four-game series of 841 and 729. For their feat, they will receive gift items from the OFWBR.

Likewise, also sharing bowling spotlight with Macatuno and Gloria were the keglers of the Bukabin Eagles who displayed one of their impressive games stunned the overrated Mission X team (22-10). Bukabin’s ace player Jhun Visda together with team captain, Bon Buyson and Rommel Santos and splendid support coming from fellow Ariel San Miguel, Jonjon Ortiz, Renante Paralejas and Arman Ortiz produced overall total team output of 3730 pinfalls. Visda topscored with 783 series in four matches, followed by Buyson who fired a series of 625 in four games. San Miguel and Ortiz contributed a series of 380 and 363 while Renante Paralejas and Arman Ortiz added a series of 356 and 324.

At helm in the Mission X team was Abdulrahman Jose with a series of 802 and coming-in next to Jose is the duo of PK Reden Tulabut and Larry Mondoy who toppled a separate four game series of 740 and 716 in four sets. Split specialist Rolly Amis carded a series of 558 in three games while Eden Bergonio submitted a series of 495 in three outings. Oca Bernabe rolled 202 in one game and Jimmy Medina scored 161 in one set.

The Mission X had earned overall total team output of 3674 points.

Bowler of the Week awardee, Benjie Macatuno lifted the Unicap team to outplay the Ultra team (20-0). Macatuno rolled a series of 841 points. Rami Espiritu and Gayner Elias seared the lanes to score a separate series of 773 and 763 while Art Capulong collected total output of 659 in four games. Rey Villanueva downed a series of 524 in three matches.

The Ultra team of Art Esguerra, who played only in the remaining two games, the leading scorer was Jerry Austria (363), followed by Resty de Jesus (344), Willie Pamilaran (331) and Esguerra (324).

The Maros Bowlers crushed the KAMC quintet with a score of 19-12 and topscoring in the Maros are Mario Rosal (773) and Babes Nival (771). Pat Raz toppled a series of 670 in four sets to follow Rosal and Nival while the debuting Bobby Jamora added a series of 570 in three games. Joey Maningas carded 564 in three games.

For the KAMC, Ted Gutierrez led by scoring a four game series of 753 and next to him was Francis Gloria with 729 points. Louie Fantone had 596 points while Vher Sahagun downed a series of 572. Jonas Gubatan, Mags Bongcawaran and Danny Castro scored a separate series of 339, 335 and 330.

The winning streak of Ang Ajax continued to post another convincing victory when they demolished the Vision 2 in straight four games (4-0). The threesome of AJ Bonifacio, Fred Tejado and Ben Carriaga sizzled to be on top in the Ang Ajax team. Bonifacio was top with a series of 736, followed by Tejado (733) and Carriaga (707). Manny Tuzon and Rommel Agbayani impressed by submitting a series of 686 and 672.

Alex Bandoy and Norman Espejo shone in the Vision 2 team by posting a separate four-game series of 654 and 615. Ferdie Ramos poured 521 series while Remy Pantaleon and Arman Caraig sealed a series of 503 and 490.

In another fashions, the teams of D’Alleygators and Black Phyton recorded a separate wins over their rivals, D’Hunks and the ABB All Stars. Posting the best scores in the D’Alleygators team were Joe Concepcion (763), Rolly Manalang (723) and Toffee San Jose (709).

For the Black Phyton captained by Virgie Miranda, having the best scores are Mel Elizalde (734) and Cris Crisostomo (729). Larry Leyba shot 692 series.

Rod Basilio, team captain of D’Hunks led with a series of 751 followed by Cas Encilla (746). Rico Feria fired a series of 686 while Jomari de Luna, and Marvin Arocena registered a series of 481 and 473 in three games.
