Saudi deputy FM meets Japanese minister

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji received Assistant Minister and Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kansuke Nagaoka in Riyadh on Sunday.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between Japan and the Kingdom, and ways to enhance them in all fields, as well as issues of common interest.

The reception was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom Iwai Fumio.

Also on Sunday, Al-Khuraiji received Ambassador of Germany to the Kingdom Dieter Lamle. They reviewed relations between Germany and the Kingdom, and ways to enhance them.

Saudi leaders offer condolences after flooding in Morocco

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent cables of condolences to Moroccan King Mohammed VI following the flash flood in the Moroccan coastal city of Safi that killed at least 37 people.

The African nation experienced heavy rain and snow over the weekend, and authorities have warned of similar conditions in the coming days.

King Salman expressed his deepest condolences to the king, the families of the deceased and people of Morocco.
