Saudi Arabia’s King Salman issues order to promote, appoint 258 judges

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has issued an order to promote and appoint 258 judges at the Ministry of Justice in various ranks of the judiciary, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
The order reflects the king’s support for and interest in the judicial system, said Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, justice minister and president of the Supreme Judicial Council.
He added that he hopes the judges succeed in achieving the aspirations of the Saudi leadership, safeguarding justice and implementing the provisions of Sharia law.v

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman left the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh on Friday night, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king had been undergoing medical examinations at the hospital, SPA reported earlier.

The report added that the results of the examinations were “reassuring.”
