DUBAI: This year’s Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) kicked off on Wednesday night with an opening ceremony. 

The event, which was pushed back from its original November date due to the coronavirus pandemic, runs until Dec. 10 and hosts actors, directors and the industry elite as they gather in Egypt to celebrate film.
