TWITTER POLL: Nearly half say first post coronavirus lockdown travel will be to see family

  • More than a quarter say they won't be traveling at all

DUBAI: An Arab News Twitter poll found that the majority of people say the first time they travel will be to see family – but more than a quarter said they did not have any plans to travel at all.

Many countries have reopened their borders and airlines have started to run scheduled flights again – but both come with strict regulations including certificates proving individuals are clear of coronavirus and periods of quarantine.

Of the 866 people who took part in the poll, just 17.2 percent said they planned to use their first trip to go on holiday, while 12.2 percent said they were going on a business trip.
