Philippines reports 25 coronavirus deaths, 218 more cases

MANILA: The Philippines’ health ministry on Friday reported 25 new coronavirus deaths and 218 additional infections.
In a bulletin, the health ministry said total confirmed cases have increased to 5,878 while 387 people have died. It added that 52 more patients have recovered, bringing the total to 487.

6.2-magnitude quake hits western Japan, no tsunami warning: weather agency

TOKYO: A 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook the coast of western Japan on Tuesday, the meteorological office said, with no tsunami warning issued.
The tremor was recorded at 10:18 am (0118 GMT) in Shimane prefecture, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
