February 22: Zee News report by Manish Shukla states that the Pakistani Army has formulated a new three-phased training policy for its forces. The first phase is named "Back to Basic" which started in July 2017 and will continue till June 30, 2018. It is being considered as the foundation tier at the disposal of Commanding Officers for organizing and conducting training. The first phase has been designated as 'The Year of Unit Training'.
