Bangladesh in trouble needing 339 vs Sri Lanka, 2nd test

DHAKA, Bangladesh: Bangladesh lost two early second-innings wickets on Saturday as the home side chased an improbable target of 339 runs against Sri Lanka on the third day of the second and final cricket test.
At lunch Saturday, Bangladesh was 57 for two, needing another 282 runs for victory. Mominul Haque was batting on 31, with Mushfiqur Rahim 2 on an increasingly deteriorating pitch.
Earlier Saturday, Sri Lanka ended its second innings on 226, adding to its 222 from the first innings. Bangladesh scored 110 in its first innings.
The first test in Chittagong ended in a draw.
Sri Lanka earlier was dismissed after adding 26 run from its overnight total of 200-8. Roshen Silva, who guided the lower order, was unbeaten on 70.
Silva put on a 48-run partnership with No. 10 batsman Suranga Lakmal (26) to keep Bangladesh at bay.
Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam, however, struck twice in his first over of the day to wrap up the Sri Lankans innings.
Taijul was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh, returning figures of 4-76, while pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman had 3-49.
In Bangladesh’s second innings, off-spinner Dilruwan Perera dismissed Tamim Iqbal for 2 in the second over and veteran left-arm spinner Rangana Herath removed Imrul Kayes for 17.
