GBEST to clash with Finance in IDB cricket final

JEDDAH: The Islamic Development Bank (GBEST) and Islamic Development Bank (Finance) will clash in the final of the IDB Intra Bank Cricket Tournament, sponsored by GBEST and organized by the Social and Cultural Committee (SOCOM).
In the second semifinal played at the bank’s Green Lawn ground recently, IDB (GBEST) scored an exciting three-wicket win over Islamic Development Bank (ICD).
Put in to bat ICD put on board 106 runs from their stipulated 12 overs. Raiziuddin top-scored with 24-runs, followed by skipper Asif Mahmoud (14), Karim (10) and Rashid (11). Shaharyar bagged 2 wickets while Muzamil and Misbah got a wicket each for the bowling side.
In reply, GBEST achieved their target for the loss of 7 wickets. Irfan (20), Ameen (15), Misbah (11) and captain Muzammil Riyaz (23) were the main run-getters. Rashid, Ata and Asif bagged one wicket each for ICD.
Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, president IDB Group, visited Green Lawn prior to the match and appreciated the staff for their sporting activities. He also expressed his best wishes to the team in the tournament.
