Red carpet fashion highlights at the Red Sea International Film Festival
Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah played host to glittering red carpet looks, with actresses donning creations from around the world.
The Saudi filmmaker and actress — star and writer-director of “Basma” — attended the festival’s Women in Cinema event wearing this classically elegant gown from Lebanese luxury house Georges Hobeika, paired with Cartier jewelry; a look constructed by Saudi stylist Zeina Kilani.
The Saudi actress showed immaculate taste throughout the festival, wearing a number of great outfits. Our favorite was her opening night look — this light blue feather gown from Lebanese designer Elio Abou Fayssal’s Anima ready-to-wear collection, which she paired with jewelry by French brand Messika.
The Argentine-Spanish model — partner of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo — sported this dark green, studded long-sleeve sheer maxi dress created by Paris-based fashion house Alaïa, founded by Tunisian designer Azeddine Alaïa, which she paired with open-toe beige heels.
The Saudi singer and actress’ stylist — Egyptian costume designer Mai Galal — selected this pastel pink dress with petal-shaped cutouts designed by Beirut-based Rami Kadi Couture for the festival’s opening night.
The Saudi actress said she was “celebrating the magic of cinema in its stunning new home” on opening night in this sheer lilac gown from London-based designer Alara Orbay, paired with a bad she described as “straight out of a Cinderella story” by Jimmy Choo.
The Saudi actress, whose latest film, “Hobal,” screened at the festival, attended opening night in this sophisticated all-black dress with dramatic embellishment created by Qatari designer Dana Almulla, who launched her eponymous label this year.
