ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar concluded his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia on Friday, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said in a report.
During his visit to the Kingdom, Kakar prayed inside the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on Wednesday before performing Umrah on Thursday night. The Pakistani prime minister departed for his country on Friday, the APP said.
“Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Badr bin Sultan, Ambassador of Pakistan and senior officials of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah were present at the airport to see off the prime minister,” the APP said.
Kakar took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to post pictures of his visit.
“By His grace, Allah blessed me with the privilege of attending the court of His beloved prophet (peace be upon him), allowed me to visit His house and perform Umrah,” Kakar wrote.
Kakar left for New York on Sept. 17 to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly (UINGA) where he met world leaders and representatives of global financial institutions. He then arrived in the UK on Sept. 24 and from there, traveled to Saudi Arabia on Sept. 27 to perform Umrah.
