400 Saudis to work in technical jobs during Haj

JEDDAH: More than 400 skilled Saudi technicians are ready to participate during the Haj to take up various jobs including technical support, networks, general administration, office management and accounting, car mechanics, gasoline and diesel professions, car electricity, air conditioning jobs and others, according to a local publication.
The General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVT) has launched a package of technical programs this Haj season, continuing its cooperation for the 13th year in a row with authorities that benefited from the professional and qualified skilled Saudis during the previous Haj seasons.
GOTEVT Gov. Ahmad Al-Fuhaid ordered utilizing the organization’s full capabilities to collaborate with the various sectors operating during the Haj, stemming out of its sense of social responsibility, and to promote the concept of technology in the service of the holy sites.
Al-Fuhaid felt proud of efforts by “the children of the county to meet the aspirations of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for pilgrimage,” and asserted keenness to “serve this religious and national duty as best as possible.”
He noted the progressive work of the organization to provide professional and technical experties under the supervision to the general directorate for the services of trainees.
The organization implements the necessary programs to train skilled professionals and provides the specialties in demand through its technical and vocational office in Makkah, and with the participation of the technical college and the Industrial Secondary Institute in Makkah.
Al-Fuhaid confirmed that the organization launched, within the mechanisms of its plan, the free-of-charge maintenance program to fix cars on main routes leading to the Grand Mosque through professional cadres, involving 16 professional workers on duty throughout the day using a number of cars specially equipped for service by the organization.
