Saudi and Indian investors are being urged to widen their efforts to promote bilateral trade.
The call came at a reception hosted by the Saudi–Indian business Network (SIBN) to the Indian trade delegation visiting the Kingdom.
It took place with the support of the Indian consulate in Jeddah and in association with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Al-Harthy Exhibitions.
The team, comprising more than 80 Indian companies from diverse trade sectors, has arrived here to take part in the Jeddah International Trade Fair.
Vijay Soni, treasurer-SIBN, welcomed the guests including Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Indian consul general and vice patron of SIBN, dignitaries and diplomats.
He said SIBN is dedicated to promoting economic relations between India and Saudi Arabia.
“The main aim of our efforts is to bring business communities of India and Saudi Arabia to a single platform and to disseminate as much information as possible,” he said.
Kidwai appreciated the SIBN’s efforts and said Indian and Saudi business communities are keen to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
While appreciating the efforts made so far, he called for more efforts to spur bilateral trade.
Ishtiaq Ali, board member of Indo-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al-Harthy Exhibitions, Madan Kumar Ghildiyal, consul commercial (CGI) and Kader Memon, general secretary of SIBN, also spoke at the vent.
