"According to the agreement, HRDF will support 30 secondary-school graduates to study bachelor's degree programs in pharmacology and 30 girls in nursing programs in the college," head of the medical college Dr. Shali Al-Jadani told Arab News after the signing ceremony.
"The HRDF spent more than SR500,000,000 to train youth for jobs last year. It has so far helped 13,000 youths find jobs through various employment schemes," Hisham Lanjawi, director of HRDF in Jeddah, said on the occasion.
"The government wants to develop a Saudi work force of the highest order in the health sector. Since its inception, the HRDF has implemented 1,480 training opportunities in the Makkah province," he said.
The HRDF has also approved an advanced training program to train a specialized cadre in the health sector that would end with employment.
"The HRDF will bear 90 percent of the cost of training and 75 percent of the stipend to the trainees selected for this program," he said.
