RIYADH, 15 January 2008 — Ibrahim Al-Anqari, former minister of information and personal adviser to King Fahd, died outside the Kingdom yesterday. Funeral prayer for Al-Anqari, 80, will be held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah today after Fajr prayers. Al-Anqari had held several important positions in the government after completing his studies at the University of Cairo, the University of Columbia and the University of Florida. He had worked as head of protocols at the Foreign Ministry, adviser at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, undersecretary at the Interior Ministry, minister of labor and social affairs and minister of municipal and rural affairs.
