RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index rose on Monday, gaining 117.75 points, or 1.1 percent, to close at 10,823.62.
The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR6.26 billion ($1.67 billion), as 225 of the listed stocks advanced, while 32 retreated.
The MSCI Tadawul Index also increased, up 11.74 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 1,449.86.
The Kingdom’s parallel market Nomu gained 22.13 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 21,916.78. This comes as 27 of the listed stocks advanced, while 27 retreated.
Top movers
The best-performing stock was National Co. for Learning and Education, with its share price surging by 10 percent to SR145.20.
Other top performers included Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co., whose share price rose 9.98 percent to SR16.97, and Saudi Industrial Export Co., which gained 8.62 percent to SR2.52.
On the downside, Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co. led the declines, falling 6.35 percent to SR12.38.
Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. fell 4.59 percent to SR9.78, while Sustained Infrastructure Holding Co. declined 3.63 percent to SR35.54.
Corporate announcements
On the announcement front, Yamama Cement Co. reported net profit attributable to shareholders of SR121.5 million for the second quarter of 2026, up 0.4 percent from SR121 million in the same period last year, though down 15.5 percent from SR143.9 million in the previous quarter.
According to a Tadawul statement, quarterly revenue fell 2 percent year on year to SR354.96 million, as a lower average selling price offset higher sales volumes.
For the six-month period ending June 30, net profit rose 0.9 percent year on year to SR265.4 million, while revenue declined 2.3 percent to SR694.8 million.
The Riyadh-based cement producer attributed the quarterly profit growth to additional income from the sale of production line equipment at its old plant and lower financing expenses, alongside a drop in other financing costs.
The company’s share price closed the session at SR22.93, rising 2.78 percent.
