RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday condemned the continued Iranian attacks on Kuwait and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full support for its Gulf neighbor, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During a telephone call with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the crown prince expressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Kuwait in the face of “continued and blatant Iranian attacks,” according to an SPA statement.
The two leaders also discussed the latest regional developments and diplomatic efforts to restore security and stability.
The call followed a wave of Iranian missile and drone attacks that targeted US military sites in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan amid a renewed escalation in the regional conflict.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) said on Wednesday it had struck several radar systems in Kuwait as part of its latest retaliatory operation against the US.
Kuwait’s foreign ministry condemned the strikes as violations of the country’s sovereignty and international law.
