SAN DIEGO: A Saudi delegation led by Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih concluded its participation in the BIO International Convention in San Diego.
The delegation achieved several key outcomes, including signing strategic agreements and partnerships with leading international organizations to support the Health Sector Transformation Program under Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy.
The delegation unveiled the “Launch in Saudi” initiative to accelerate access to health innovations and advanced therapies in the Kingdom and signed several partnerships between Saudi companies and leading international firms in the pharmaceutical innovation and biotechnology sectors.
The Ministry of Health also organized a roundtable on boosting investment in clinical trials in the Kingdom, attended by 40 leaders from global companies and international contract research organizations.
The delegation held more than 30 strategic meetings and visited leading companies and centers specializing in precision medicine, digital health, and pharmaceutical innovation to promote knowledge transfer and explore investment and cooperation opportunities.
Saudi Arabia will host the BIO Middle East Conference from Dec. 14 to 16, reflecting the Kingdom's growing position as a regional hub for health innovation, research, and development.
The BIO International Convention is the world's largest biotechnology event, attracting more than 20,000 participants from over 70 countries each year.
