Saudi aid agency expands aid efforts across 4 countries

RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues to implement the National Blood Bank operation project in Mogadishu, Somalia.

The blood bank last month provided services to 229 beneficiaries, including internally displaced persons and residents.

The agency distributed 200 personal care kits to the most vulnerable families in the Hadjer-Lamis region of Chad, benefiting 600 people.

KSrelief also distributed 750 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in the Syrian Arab Republic’s Idlib governorate, and 1,464 food baskets in Homs governorate.

A KSrelief-backed prosthetics and rehabilitation center in the Taiz governorate of Yemen provided 1,579 medical services to 576 beneficiaries who had lost limbs.

Services included the manufacture and fitting of prosthetic limbs, as well as therapy and specialized consultations.

The agency has implemented 4,404 projects in 113 countries since 2015, spending more than $8.5 billion on food security, health, education, water and sanitation, shelter, and early recovery.
