Saudi Red Sea Authority issues new yacht chartering license

RIYADH: The Saudi Red Sea Authority has issued a yacht chartering license to One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Ltd. Co. as part of its efforts to regulate and strengthen the coastal tourism sector in the Red Sea, while improving service quality, environmental protection, and investment growth.

The license marks another step in regulating yacht chartering activities and expanding marine tourism in the Kingdom through a framework that balances investor enablement with compliance, safety, and sustainability standards.

In line with its mandate, the authority regulates maritime and navigational tourism activities and issues the required licenses and permits.

It also develops rules and standards for coastal tourism marinas, supports their development, and encourages investment in maritime activities.

The authority grants yacht rental establishment licenses after verifying that applicants meet all requirements, including yacht seaworthiness and compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards.

These licenses improve the efficiency of yacht rental activities, enhance service reliability, expand marine tourism options, attract investment, create quality job opportunities, and promote environmental sustainability.

With this license, the total number of yacht rental establishment licenses issued by the authority in the Kingdom has reached nine as of the second quarter of 2026.
