RIYADH: Saudi Arabia foreign ministry condemned Iran’s attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait on Saturday.
The two Gulf countries intercepted seven missiles fired by Iran on Saturday.
In a statement on X, the Saudi foreign ministry said Iranian aggressions pose a threat to regional and international security.
“Iran’s ongoing attacks undermine international efforts to restore security,” said the statement.
The ministry said Saudi Arabia support Bahrain and Kuwait in the measures they are taking to safeguard their security.
“Iran’s ongoing attacks mean further escalation,” said the ministry.
The exchange of strikes comes as the Trump administration ramps up pressure on Iran to make a deal to end the conflict.
Jordan also on Saturday condemned the attacks, calling them a violation of the two countries' sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.
The Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait and voiced support for measures taken to protect their security and territorial integrity.
Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi condemned what he described as ongoing Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait, calling them a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.
He said the security of Bahrain and Kuwait was integral to the security of all GCC states, reaffirming the bloc’s full support for measures taken by the two countries to protect their sovereignty, territorial integrity and citizens.
