Inauguration ceremony of Mosook Saudi-Japan Business Center held in Tokyo

  • Using Mosook Group’s network of eight specialized branches, center aims to foster substantive partnerships in business, trade and technology

TOKYO: Saudi Ambassador to Japan Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr attended the inauguration ceremony of the Mosook Saudi-Japan Business Center in Tokyo on Wednesday, describing it as a dynamic bridge uniting the two countries.

The event attracted prominent attendees, including Abdullah Al-Rushud from the Saudi commercial attache office in Tokyo, and Dr. Majed Faleh Al-Baij, CEO of the Mosook Group.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Al-Baij described the center as a vital link connecting the Saudi and Japanese markets. Using the Mosook Group’s network of eight specialized branches, the center aims to foster substantive partnerships in business, trade and technology. Its services, including investment facilitation, technical and economic consulting, and market-entry support, align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Al-Baij recounted his academic experience at Nihon University and three decades of involvement in Jubail’s oil, gas and petrochemical sectors.

Since establishing Mosook General Contracting in 1999, he has expanded the group into a diversified enterprise covering engineering, consulting, training, elevator manufacturing, information technology and tourism. He emphasized the Tokyo center’s role as a platform to address cultural and regulatory challenges and promote exchanges between Japanese innovation and Saudi opportunities.

In his congratulatory remarks, the Saudi ambassador highlighted the 70-year history of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Japan.

He said that the bilateral partnership had progressed from a traditional exchange of energy for technology to a comprehensive alliance encompassing cultural and civilizational collaboration.

The ambassador stressed the significance of diversified economic partnerships in an evolving global landscape and commended the Mosook Saudi-Japan Business Center for advancing legal and cultural alignment, describing such intermediaries as essential “bridge-builders” for the future.

Koichi Takasugi, president of Ohtsubo Electric Co., Ltd., addressed the assembly on behalf of the Japanese business community and emphasized the importance of human capital.

Marking his company’s centennial, he attributed its success to a corporate culture valuing employee welfare and strong interpersonal relationships. He expressed optimism that the Mosook Saudi-Japan Business Center would adopt similar principles to build a durable partnership between Saudi Arabia and Japan.

The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a cello performance and networking among Japanese and Arab business leaders.
