Design Doha Biennial 2026 postponed to November

  • Event originally set to take place from April 16 to June 30

DUBAI: The Design Doha Biennial 2026 has been postponed to Nov. 5-7, with exhibitions remaining on view until New Year’s Eve. Qatar Museums and Design Doha made the announcement on Thursday.

Organizers said: “This postponement will ensure that the biennial can be experienced in the spirit in which it was conceived: as a global celebration of the remarkable talent of the MENASA (Middle East, North Africa, South Asia) region.”

French architect and designer India Mahdavi was appointed as the head of the jury for the Design Doha Prize 2026 in December.

The event was originally set to take place from April 16 to June 30. It staged its first edition in 2024 and comprises exhibitions, commissions, jury awards, coaching programs, publications, and special events.
