Saudi Arabia strongly condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait

  • Ten Kuwaiti military personnel were injured in an Iranian missile attack on a military ‌camp ‌in the Gulf ‌country
  • An Indian worker was killed in an Iranian attack on ‌a ‌power and ‌water desalination plant in Kuwait

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Monday strongly condemned Iranian attacks targeting a military camp and a power and water desalination plant in Kuwait.

Ten Kuwaiti military personnel were injured in an Iranian missile attack on a military ‌camp ‌in the Gulf ‌country, the Kuwaiti army said on Sunday, without giving a location.

The camp sustained material ‌damage, ‌the army ‌said.

Meanwhile, an Indian worker was killed in an Iranian attack on ‌a ‌power and ‌water desalination plant in Kuwait, which also damaged a service building ‌at the ‌facility, Kuwait’s Ministry ‌of ‌Electricity and Water said ‌early on Monday.

The Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry said these cowardly attempts by Iran and its behavior toward countries in the region confirm its continued hostile approach, which cannot be justified under any circumstances.

This approach is in clear violation of international laws and norms and the principles of good neighborliness, and pushes the region toward further escalation, the ministry said.

The Kingdom expressed its sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured and prayed that God protect Kuwait, its leadership, and its people from all harm, the statement added.
