Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief supports 350 dialysis patients in Somalia

MOGADISHU: The dialysis center at Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu, Somalia, continues to provide medical services with support from the Saudi aid agency KSrelief.

In February, the center treated 350 patients, including 165 who underwent 1,057 scheduled dialysis sessions and 11 emergency sessions, while 177 patients received consultations and medical examinations at the nephrology clinic, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Males accounted for 61 percent of beneficiaries and females 39 percent. Internally displaced persons represented 2 percent, residents 97 percent, and refugees 1 percent.

Support for the center is part of the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts to strengthen the healthcare sector and alleviate the suffering of the Somali people.
