NOUAKCHOTT:  The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has distributed 3,848 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

Elsewhere, the center recently distributed 690 cartons of dates to those most in need in Chad, benefiting 4,140 people. The aid is part of the project to distribute 800 tonnes of dates in the country.

The center also distributed 1,500 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in Guinea, benefiting 9,856 people.

The initiative, part of the food baskets project in Guinea for 2026, falls under the Kingdom’s relief and humanitarian efforts, implemented through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to provide vital food assistance to families in need and those affected by crises around the world.

Meanwhile, the center distributed 140 cartons of dates to returnees from Pakistan and Iran at a refugee camp in Kabul, Afghanistan, benefiting 840 people.

It was part of a broader project to distribute 300 tonnes of dates to the Afghan people this year.
