RIYADH: Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz honored the winners of the 27th King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an at the closing ceremony held on Friday at the Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh.
Prince Faisal was welcomed by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh and Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The governor expressed great pride in the award bearing the name of King Salman, noting its vital role in promoting the memorization, recitation, and interpretation of the Holy Qur’an.
“He congratulated the winners and wished them success in their service to the Holy Qur’an and the nation, fueled by the unwavering support of the Kingdom’s leadership,” SPA noted.
